I have reported to HSBC - I don't have an account with them, but was phoned from this number. I was told it was the banking fraud department about £1900 online shopping.
Very aggressive man called yesterday and today from Capita Investments.(or similar sounding name). I asked him to remove my name from database, but he got very aggressive, and kept on interrupting me. The background noise sounds like a big office of telemarketers.

Claimed to be BT Openreach and that we were not getting our correct internet speed. I am not with BT so has to be a scam call.
I nicely spoken lady phoned me saying I had told them I was receiving a lot of unwanted call and that she told me that they can stop this and it is approved by the police , they are willing to send me a box for a one off fee for £39.99. I told her I had no money at the moment . She then told me she will call me back in 4 weeks . I have now blocked her from calling my number . This is a scam and don’t part with any money .

A woman with a West African accent phoned me at 4.30 pm on 12th July 2012. She asked me how my "claim" was progressing and whether she could help. Obviously a telemarketing call because there was the usual buzz of conversation in the background. After my repeated requests for what details they had of some car accident in the past three years on the grounds that I need to contact the Police about fraud. The caller claimed they received the data from LV and hung up. Of course it is fraud. I don't drive. They are using data outside the scope of the DPA and I am sure that if 'One Legal' were any sort of insurer or legal practitioner, their professional body would love to hear the details too.
