SCAM - somebody called to ask to speak to my husband regarding his business account with British Gas. When I asked them to contact my husband's business directly they stated that the only number they had (which is our home number). They gave me a reference number and asked if my husband could call them. It all sounded very plausible - please be aware.

Received 3 calls this week (13th. - 17th. March) on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Female caller asked to speak to someone not at this address, claiming to be from Virgin Media. Very difficult to understand, possibly East Asian.
The man with an Indian accent claimed that he is from Virgin media but asked if I'm with Virgin. When confronted being a scammer, hanged up.

My wife answered the phone, and an apparently recorded message said that there was a suspicious transaction involving a £300 bill from Amazon which had not been paid. He asked for me by name and said he was calling from Microsoft then asked if I was the main user of the computer in my hone. I asked "Which Computer is that then?" and he hung up. Another number check site has lots of people checking this number and it appears to be from various different places so I think it must be an attempt to access a persons computer or something like that.
