When asked he said he was from the UK Advisory Information Centre and they ran the Renewable Energy Database where my details had come from. When asked he said he was based in central London. Called me today and the one time I think its from a family member I answer, said they were from my Credit card company (Got the name correct aswell and had my own name too!!!) the asked if it was a good time to talk, I replied for the moment yes....then she hung up!! number appears from Hartlepool area, called back...not my CC company!

I happen to have a fault so nearly fell for it, tried to get me to download a programme which would have infected my computer and obtained bank details. Have informed BT the callers were rude and offensive when I questioned their activity.

I don t like sales calls on my private mobile as it is, it s an intrusion and a waste of my time but when they lie about having information they don t to try to rope you into their offers, that really makes my blood boil. I have NEVER bought PPI, she also tried to tell me it might be from a loan or credit cards. I have never had loans or credit cards. Clutching at straws she then asked if I have a mortgage - well of course I do but I wasn t giving her anything! Clearly if they knew some "important" problem
