SCAM - On answer a strident recorded message tells you that "A criminal tax fraud case has been lodged against you". I didn't bother listening to the full message - I heard enough to know it was a pathetic criminal trying to scare people into handing them either personal data or money. SCAM caller - called saying he's from my bank, quoted some card details (correct, must be on a stolen database) to say that Apple Pay / Contactless are down for 24-48 hours while they do upgrades. I didn't give him any info but somehow he managed to set up an Apple Pay with my card and stole £2,600 from our company account, on payday, 4 days before Christmas. We're now completely skint and can't afford to pay the wages. Been doing some investigating and his name is Tyrell, apparently. Fuck you Tyrel

SPAM A similar number called me earlier twice today (07834 247675). This number has just called me (07834 241177) using a recorded message, claiming to be from the Department of Work and Pensions, to say that my National Insurance Contributions have been suspended.
Just took one of these calls. After reading from a script about a survey, they were polite enough to ask "Are you ready for the first question?". I replied "No!". They hung up :)
Number called advising me that a HMRC fraud investigation had been opened about me to call them for more information, it sounds like an American Automated voice. I have had the exact message from different numbers before.
