on laptop clicked on website and had alert off microsoft it filled the screen and said to protect microsoft your screen has been frozen. then a pop up appeared say your bank,email,passwords are being taken and to call this number urgently 0800 090 3853 . they tried to tell me to press certain buttons but i could not understand them and told them i would ask my friend to look at the laptop because he fixes laptops . to protect microsoft your screen has been frozen . contact this number 0800 090

A person called from this number and he said performing survey on behalf of my company and asked me few questions about my work. I found it very suspicious

They had called me on about 6 previous occasions before i answered. Said they were from BT and E and had taken over EE who were my service provider and could offer me discounted calls . I asked if they were already my service provider why weren't they discounting me anyway. They then got round to asking me if I used a landline for making business calls. Not clear what the purpose of the call was and have blocked them.

This number called my son yesterday and today; he's only 18 and new to all this so yesterday he brought the phone down to me to talk to them. As soon as I said "Can I help you" they hung up. Before that, they said they were O2, asked how he was, then asked if he was over 18 and in the UK. Now if they genuinely were O2, they would surely have the answers to those questions already.
