Called offering a Domain owned by a business we are friendly with, advising their domain is up for sale. We called the business and they confirmed they are not selling the Domain. Clearly a scam.
claimed to be from the security department (but didn't say of which bank/credit card company) claimed to have identified two probably fraudulent transactions. invited me to press 1 to cancel or 2 to speak to someone. I pressed 2, but the line went dead. Looks to me very much like a scam.
Phoned at 6.16pm then constant female voice saying ha ha ha

They’d been informed I had been in an accident. That’s all they managed to get in before I hung up.
Safe number
Recorded message saying BT & that internet would be disconnected within 24hrs unless press 1 to speak to someone. Luckily my elderly mother who they called is pretty cautious about scams and checked with me. I got her to do 1471 & googled the number finding various reports of similar on BT forum.

As everybody else said, an indian man called with lots of background noise claiming to be from Talktalk. He said there was a problem with the internet running slowly. Had I noticed this? I have been repeatedly called on my cellphone from this number, no message left at any time. Have ignored because I don t know anyone in Alton, Hampshire. Phoned the number back from a private landline and got a voice mail message saying "the person at extension 251 is unavailable, please leave your name..." etc. Very annonying!
Called 5 times between 2pm and 6pm - answered 4th call (they knew may name) and told them not interested in solar panels and having my tea, put phone down. Less than 2 mins lat...

I received couple of times calls from this nuber. Everytime the lady on phone has very strong accent, hard to understand. They known my old address, Name and surname, Everytime I ve been asked to confirm my address and details and then something about loands I ve taken in last 10 yrs, credit cards.. Than I can collect overpayments.. I didn t give rhem any of my details at all. Just took one of these calls. After reading from a script about a survey, they were polite enough to ask "Are you ready for the first question?". I replied "No!". They hung up :)
Call came approx. 3 hours after one from 01247 896583 which research suggested SCAM was from people purporting to be from BT.01495 No was a pattern so I picked up and blew my trusted whistle down the phone. Magic! They won t ring again.
Well dodgy, spoof number, not real - look at the pattern of digits. they re too lazy to move their fingers around the keypad. A regular caller.
