Just heard of Wright stuff programme, 0845 numbers, even if it s only a second your phone provider is chargeing you like you called the number, people have had bills upto £300 and they will not listen to reason you supposedly called the number so you pay your extortionate bill, we live in a world of faceless thieves, beware

Called by a Welsh lady saying they were handing out free grants for loft insulation -- did I have loft insulation? I immediately smelt a rat & asked who was calling. She simply said "a grant company". I asked what their name was. She was very evasive but eventually said "Nationwide Energy." I asked what their address was but said she didn t know(!). Said I have your file and used my first name. About the accident you had. Sorry over 30 years no claims don`t think so. Frightening being called by first name and its a scam. Threated them with a bigger accident and they hung up.
Whoever they are they keep phoning my mobile and when I don't answer they immediately call from a similar number. They are very slow to take the hint!
Called about my scheduled repair
Answered call on my landline to hear recorded message allegedly forwarded from BT to say that my broadband and telephone line are to be disconnected. I was invited to chose options for further information, which I have not done. As my bills are paid in advance and are up to date I have ignored this. I believe this to be malicious SPAM.

This number called me with an automated message saying there is fraudulent activity on my national insurance number and to press 1 to speak to someone. I pressed 1 and the woman...
Automated message telling me my national insurance number is being suspended because it has been linked to various illegal activity and I need to press 1 to speak to an officer if I want to avoid my property being seized and myself arrested. They must think I was born yesterday as I have no intention of pressing 1 where I suspect I would be asked for lots of personal information and a payment to clear a debt I don’t have. I blocked the number instead.
