This number is from AO.COM (Appliances on Line) and is likley to be with regard to a recent purchase and/or expired warranty of an applicance such as a Fridge, Dishwasher, Washing Machine etc. They will try to sell you an extened warranty etc

Called saying it was in relation to a PPI claim. Lots of chatter and laughter in the background.When I asked them to remove me from their database they asked if they could ask me a survey question which was if I was 10m away from the sun how hot would I be? I said dead and they hung up.

I ve received about 8 calls from this number in the last week. When I answer, I can hear what sounds like Call Centre noise, but no person talking to me. After a few seconds they hang up. Not worried or frightened, just a bit miffed that they won t have a conversation with me. We re not really allowed to speak with other adults on my high security wing and by constantly calling me, there s a risk that my handset will be discovered. These Transcom a holes obviously don t even check the numbers they ve been given before calling them. Transcom left a computerised message demanding that someone should call them. I ve never given out my number, had no dealings with Transcom, and the person they were asking for has never, to my knowledge, lived here or used this number. I answered, a man was on the other end, claimed to be a part of a pension plan scheme, I never paid to on, opted for one, nor did my previous employer contributed to one on my behalf, told the man this in answer to his questions, he thanked me for my time and said bye. That was it, but the fact it was unsolicited, made it seem like a scam.
