My solution is to leave my BT Aura answering machine on receive, and note my caller display before picking up the phone...... my friends wait to see if I answer, and knowing that all Incoming recorded messages are completely garbled and indecipherable, and that I will use 1471 and ring them back when I m available, they don t waste their time and money trying to leave a message. Getting at least one call on my mobile per dayfrom this number. It doesn t ring long enough to get phone out of pocket, so is obviously inviting me to ring back and be billed on the premium number. Getting heartily fed up of it. Have saved it in contacts with Nuisance call as its name, to avoid answering by mistake if it ever rings long enough to do so!

Within a few minutes of getting another call from so-called B.T. technical department I got this one, from a different but equally fictitious number. I let the woman gabble on for a few minutes. In her foreign accent she was not clear. I kept telling her so until she rang off. These crooks obtained my number as a result of a Talk Talk leak a few years ago.
