Suspect untrustworthy. Wanted to offer me a 3 month subscription to the magazine for ?1 an issue (cover price about ?3.50 or so). Asked for my sort code and bank account number. I was driving so said ring back - when she did, I couldn t take the call anyway.

Received an obscene call from this number this evening - young sounding guy with northern accent. He hung up when my husband asked him what he wanted. Fortunately I am too old and experienced to be upset by it, but someone else might not be. Nasty, since he asked for the previous subscriber for this line by name.
SCAM - On answer a strident recorded message tells you that "A criminal tax fraud case has been lodged against you". I didn't bother listening to the full message - I heard enough to know it was a pathetic criminal trying to scare people into handing them either personal data or money.
