SCAM Fortunately, I have TruCaller home phone so pushed it straight to the "waiting" queue and as they didn't leave a message or say who was calling did not route through to the actaual phone ring. I already had this number blocked on my Mobile and in Malwarebytes as it claimed to be from BT saying there was a problem with my broadband... when I mentioned that I worked for BT as a fault engineer they immediately hung up :)

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8439418xxx range... People did someone answer this number?
Harassing calls. Phoned 3 times today. fits the same description as other comments. Just goes silent when asked for name or company.
Guy said he was calling about life insurance from the Central African Republic. Considering I love nowhere near there or have no ties with that part of the world it’s more than likely a scammer

This number calls me almost everyday and I have never answered it. Will report this to commissioner. Gauging from the other comments on this site, this number ceased being reported since April, it seems to be active again.
