I called Barclays on 03457 345 345 only to be told this numbers has switched to 0345 600 45 40. I called this number and followed the exact same instructions that you would normally be asked only something didn't feel quite right about it. I called back the 03457 345 345 number which worked this this time and spoke to a gentleman on the Fraud team who advised me this was not one of their numbers and this was most definitely a fraud attempt. Automated call. Says some nonsense about avoiding the call will result in magistrates action then gives you a refererence number which is probably: 2019-2101-t9. It states it so quickly, I can't be sure if 100% correct. If it were important then it wouldn't be coming from a mobile! Either way, then says "press 1 to speak to an officer". I didn't.
