Washing machine warranty scammers

Phone automatically blocked the number but on phoning it back got a very apologetic message basically saying the number had been hijacked by foreign scammers and that the matter was in the hands of ofcom, just block the number and give absolutely no information whatever to them as it could be used for identity fraud.

I got a call at work and a female welsh voice said `I understand you are under 60 years old and therefore you qualify for a pensions bonus payment of £1,000 which you will receive within the next 60 days. british gas asking for bill payment

Non-native English speaker asked for someone I ve never heard of, then wanted the lady of the house instead. Hung up but they rang back two hours later. Complained to TPS.

I Got the call twice from this number to my mobile phone within a week. First time its disconnected as soon as I picked the call. Second time someone spoke with me and verified my name by telling the name correctly and asking that have I met with a road accident and claiming. I have replied my name is correct but I didn t met any accident and applying claims. Today 12.11. 1.35pm have received a call from this number. Scottish Power guy start asking questions about who is my supplier for gas and energy and trying to persuade me to switch for saving money. The very noisy background at the other end and too many questions made me feel very suspicious. Hung up the phone and added the number to my blocked numbers list.

Found out it s a timeshare cold call based in Tenerife. What they actually do is speak as if they are talking to someone else saying I can t hear anyone on the other end of the line, eventually put the phone down and wait for the person to call them back, obviously at their own cost. So be warned and beware.

Indian/Pakistani sounding clearly calling from a call centre not in the U.K. as he had me on speaker phone and could hear him speaking with someone else as I answered the call. He asked for someone I don’t know. I told him I didn’t know the person and he got rude and aggressive with me before hanging up. I’ve blocked the number.

I was called from this number and the caller was very insistent / pushy about the fact that I MUST be owed PPI compensation otherwise they would not be calling. They required bank / credit card details and when I said I had already received compensation from my bank, the call was terminated by them without explanation.
