These people obtain, STEAL, your tel. number from your ip address via metadata. Ever come accross annoying adverts when browsing online which doesn t let you close? ie. Engadget, youtube etc... Mine was a survey which popped up whilst online and I had to wait 20secs inorder to dismiss that advert. Enduring the agonising 20 secs. And when u click any of those annoying adverts to go away it wont let you, however during that 20sec period what they do is they steal all your metadata incl. your ip address, pr

How the hell are these scum still calling me market telesales crap calls off Scottish Power have been calling for 3days & up to 15-20 times per day it s now 20:45pm & they are still calling regardless of the fact i have screamed NOT INTERESTED several times. Said he was calling from the city and wanted to make sure I was covered when the recession hits. I am surprised I allowed him to divulge this bunch of cow droppings as I usually hang up before the end of the sentence :-)

Rang at lunchtime on two successive days (15 and 16 DEC 15) but did not leave message. Suspicious because of previous calls from 03300 numbers.

Automated call, American accent, claims to be HMRC

I have stopped answering these suspicious calls for the time being - too busy. As with the one I received at the same time yesterday, when I was having breakfast, I concluded the caller was another criminal trying to persuade me to give them access to my computer so they could infect it. That is because the majority of the calls I get are of that nature. The likelihood was all the greater because, like yesterday s call, it was purportedly from an area where I do not know anyone.

Phoned my Dad with the same Microsoft rubbish quoting a serial number and saying that they would disable his computer, my Dad hung up but they rang straight back. He told them to go ahead and try to disable the computer but nothing happened. He asked for the guy s name and number and he said he was Peter Connor and quoted this number. Someone must be able to track down these scum, wherever in the world they are and lock them up!

i waited until out of office hours and called 0114 700 0889. it directed to the Voicemail of Amelia Hernandes. i believe these guys are professional scammers.
