unsolicited call from this number, accented english type voice, "hello, good afternoon, I am calling you from the windows technical department .........." I told him a few truths in dirty english and hung up. had these calls for more than 5 years though not from a "local" number before. I remember once talking to a friend in usa on skype and he got a phone call ~ he asked me to wait a minute and I heard him in the background ... "what my computer is calling you for help?" I was actually phoned by the number 01172948771 (but the internet can't find a number to match), but I was told I could call back on 01413679893. Claiming to be UK Energy Tariffs/Together Energy/Direct Energy - I got all three names in the course of a single phone call. Definitely trying to get my bank details off me, because apparently, I can't get this energy deal on their website, which they gave me as being ukenergytariffs.com but seems to be for South Africa if you look at the privacy statement.
