A woman with heavily accented English called me this morning from a number with our local dialling code saying the call was from BT and there were reports that we were having trouble with the internet. No problems at all and I said so. She asked me to try the internet, so I told her I couldn’t hear her very well. She cut the call. Funny that! I phoned the number and was told it wasn’t in service!!

SCAM Recorded message tells you that you are under investigation for financial activity and to press 1 for more details, before an arrest warrant is issued. Had several calls like this previously, never pressed 1 yet ( and still a free citizen, surprisingly) but it's highly likely that it would connect you to a premium line and charge some indecent sum to your phone bill.

Calling every day sometimes twice!

Silent call - 8 seconds. Idea is for you to call them back, pay their 0845 service charge... make 30p per day from the 1000+ people they call each day... look after the pennies, the pounds look after themselves I guess. Shame.

fake advertising company. they claim you have advertised with them and owe money.

Had 2 calls this morning same automated message saying that the Internet will be disconnected. Just hung up both times.

nuisance call

Tried to claim I had £5k o debt and were here to help. After I asked them to stop fishing for details said I could Google them they were a legitimate company and then quickly hurried the call and hung up.

Automated message from HMRC saying there is a claim in my name and that I will be arrested if I don't press #1. Then they hanged up.

Scam caller with heavy indian accent saying they are calling from Talktalk and giving English sounding name wanting to get into the computer to fix it. I keep them on the phone as long as I can to waste their time and then when they realise they are beeing

Said I had a reimbursement (from what I could make out) from a property I rented 4 years ago. Definitely no reimbursement and definitely not from Manchester!

No answer from call

Telephone call from 01505 340340 on 3 March, 2023. Recorded message from unidentified "bank" regarding unspecified charges. Option to select number to process call onwards, probably to enable fraud. Obviously terminate telephone call and block number.

Nuisance call about the "accident I had according to their records" when I informed the person first of all I never had an accident, second my number is registered with TPS and they should not call me the person was arguing with me.

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. Similar numbers are reported as a scam offers (in most cases some financial offers or life insurance). For sure some general call centre with telemarketing offers. Did someone answer this one people? No way I would call them back :)
