I called the help line 0800 085 095, of Santander my mortgage provider from my landline to make enquiries about the final payment of my mortgage. I was transferred to another line where it was suggested that I could make the final payment immediately by cards associated with my account. However the respondent was only able to give me the last 4 figures of two cards (one of which is discontinued) and asked me to enter the complete number via my keypad. This number seems to be used for a classical telemarketing, or it is a directly some general call centre. They usually work for some third company and call with offer of some goods or services for the actual company they were hired for. In this case the number is mostly reported in connection with insurance marketing - ambulance chasers, car accidents. Block it...
