Answered the phone as the call was from 0117 Bristol code. I am waiting for an appointment to go for radiotherapy in Bristol so I was keen to answer the phone, but it went dead as I answered I then tried redial using 1471 option 3, as I was anxious but the number came up as I’ll obtainable so its obviously a spam call which was very annoying

An Induan sounding man claiming to be from BT saying they had reports of problems with my internet connection. String them along for a while and asked eventually for him to give me my BT account number to prove he was from BT. Just talked me down saying it was my choice to believe him or not and eventually he hung up.

Had a useful tip from a mate, when they ask if you have had an accident, reply YES and say that you have been trying to get hold of a claims management company because the accident killed three people - they soon hang up!

Recorded message saying phone and internet will be disconnected tomorrow as our IP address has been used to hack a government website (because thats believable). It said if we don't call an 0161 number (i didn't even bother getting the rest) our internet and phone line would be cut off despite saying the exact same thing the day before and surprise surprise im here using the internet right now? Blocked number being able to contact us again.
