I was called on this number at 9.30am today advising me that my Amazon order had been charged to my credit card. I may be wrong but I am not aware that Amazon had opened a depot in Orpington-tried to call the number back but it was blocked. Yet another scammer preying on people. What can be done to close these scams down-surely BT or OFCOM must be able to trace the number to an address and the take action against them.

Called twice no answer machine message, I called the number after 5.30pm and it didn't ring went straight to "your call is important to us" then it answered with someone in the middle of another conversation - that's enough for me to know I don't want to speak to them. Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 2036344xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with energy comparison schemes, government grants, green energy, but also classical PPI, insurance marketing - accident chasers. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...
