Fraud SCAM Unsolicited call, claiming to be Worldpay and asking what kind of card reader I use in my business. I informed him that I already use Worldpay as my payment processor and if he was who he said he was, then he maybe should know that.

It’s from Russia and i suspect it’s a scam site but still anything from Russia I wouldn’t class as safe.

Called me and implied that they were operating on behalf of my estate agent and this was the 'next step' in the purchase of my new property. Tried to get my address details claiming that it was all part of 'data protection' - when I said 'heck no - I'm not giving you any details' then they doubled down on the the claim that they were operating on behalf of my estate. Very upsetting.

Got a call from this number saying that someone was trying to take money from my account for betting in America and to press 1 on my receiver, which I obviously didn't. Sounded dodgy

SCAM I have this afternoon received a telephone call purporting to be National Grid Meter Department and confirming a date and time to change meter as they said it was over charging. Suggested a refund available since last year of £652.23 Offered a booking slot and advised the new meter number as E14UP04L89. Spam. Was an automated message with threat that my internet is going to be disconnected. I have a BT line, so I put the phone down on it and then picked it up and waited for dial tone and then dialled 1572, which allowed me to block the last calling number. Not sure if that blocking facility works on other providers landlines. But worth a try. It's a neat facility.

A recorded message asking me to press 1 to stop a fraudulent transaction taking place on my "visa" card. But I don't have a visa card anyway. Received a similar call, couple of days ago from a mobile number 07514757657.

guy asking me if i had used a barclaycard in north wales, i don't have a barclay card, must be a scammer, disconnected line as soon as i challenged him

Caller told me they were from visa and someone was trying to use my card for something costing over £900. It said I should press 1 to cancel or 2 to go ahead. Its obviously nothing to do with Visa so I pressed nothing and hung up the call immediately.
