There are some dodgy people going around London fixing stickers to peoples doorbells and front doors that say "24/7 LOCKSMITH 07379 253 353". There have been news reports that these type of stickers are used by criminals to identify which properties can later be burgled. This may or may not be the case with these stickers but any locksmith that advertises by sticking stickers on other peoples property without permission, are untrustworthy in my book. This is a company called Secure Homecare Ltd, trading as 247 Assist. They purport to provide homecare services such as pendant alarms etc. Once they have an elderly persons phone number they ring regularly, approxiately once every 2 months and sell a further item - usually in the region of about £135- £150.00. We were able to obtain a refund for the last one sold completely unecessarily to my mother - it took about a month to get a refund. We asked them to ensure that they removed details from their databas

SCAM - This number claims that my national insurance number will be suspended as their apparently shows that some fraudulent acitivity has been done and instructed me to press 1, thereafter the call just goes dead. Phoned back on a landline and the phone just rings and goes off.

Fraud, recorded message plays stating "This is HMRC. There is a FRAUD listed against your name. Please press 1 to discuss with us and allow us to investigate". Needless to say, I did not press 1 and just hung up.

Standard call from someone asking me about a crash I apparently had. As usual, I acted as though the call was expected and asked them to hold the line whilst I went to get my book which has all the details relating to the incident in it. They waited 7 and a half minutes before hanging up - not even close to the record of 23 minutes. Poor efford. 4/10.

Called my workplace and asked to speak to someone regarding our meter reading, claiming to be from British Gas. Handed them to relevant person, they then asked the relevant person to send across details of our meter (i.e. meter number) luckily relevant person had spoken to legitimate british gas over email and had already sorted this out. Relevant person came back to me and said that it was a fraudulent call and they were attempting to get our meter details. FRAUD!!

DANGEROUS SCAM They get your details from sites like Preloved or boohoo etc and ask you to answer a survey, what they are trying to do is record you saying hello, yes and no so that they can try to use your voice to answer banking details and other fraudulent claims etc Seen too many people taken in by this scam :(
