If you tried to ring it back and it said the number hasn t been recognised, then it doesn t exist and is a scam.

Fraud - automated call with an American voice claiming to be HMRC and that they are suing you. Asks you to call back the number they give (or your 'authorised legal representative'). Complete scam, block, report and do not engage or call back.
It's a company called RTA Legal Advice, looking to help you claim on an accident you probably didn't have....

Interrupted me with a recorded message saying that I had had an accident etc. I could not catch the name of the company but it sounded like ATI.
Similar experience to Jim. I told the caller that he was making what I regarded as a nuisance call, and put the phone down.
Fraud, automatic message saying HMRC and your national insurance number had been used fraudulently, assets will be seized etc. Please do not reply or acknowledge this call!!!

SCAM. Another call from what seems to be a call centre in Manchester. Soon as you answer the call is cut off. Probably to see if line is still active. In the last month I have had 20 calls from the same area but different numbers. I've logged this as a scam because if itwas genuine the caller would have answered or left a message. Was called this morning about 10am was a recorded message, saying we need your authority to pass payment to amazon of £500, and also about a £1000 that needs authorising, the recorded message was crackling and hard to hear all but i just hung up. then did 1471 to see who it was as they made out it was my bank wanting authorisation.
