Guy asked for me by name, said he was calling from Aviva about a life insurance enquiry or something I apparently made. Knew one of my email addresses plus my previous home address (haven't lived there for over a year). I've never contacted Aviva (double checked my emails to make sure afterwards), don't have life insurance, told him I didn't know what he was talking about. Usual computerised female voice purporting to be calling from "Internet Service Provider" telling me my IP has been compromised. Utter rot! I get at least one of these calls every day, each time apparently from a different number. However, this is the first time it's registered as a local (Bristol) number. High time our telephone service providers found a way of universally barring calls that use a fake number to bypass the Unidentified Number barring.

Fraud, pretending to be a pretty chinese girl messaging through WhatsApp, but it is unacceptable an incompetent scammer who is very poor at his job. Seems to be in the extreme end of stupid. I played him along for weeks and am still nibbling on the bait. He's investing a lot of time and effort and is oblivious to the fact I'm on to him. Uses a VPN based in Dublin.

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8435667xxx range... People did someone answer this number?
