My daughter got stung for £55 for a call to HMRC. Its clearly not the HMRC they would never be allowed to charge extortionate telephone rates and I've phoned them on a number of occasions without charge. I suspect its a scam number that then redirects to the HMRC. DO NOT PHONE THEM - look on your last tax bill as the HMRC website doesn't make it easy to find a number to call.

SCAM / SPAM Indian voiced man claimed I would get 30% off next BT bill. He then proceeded to ask for my age and date of birth. As I'm not with BT I knew this was a phising scam for my info so hung up the call.
This number kept calling me & when i returned the call iv just found out i got charged approx £3.50 with no one on the other end. If i ever find out who this * is il personaly not be responsible for my actions
