Automated call - recorded message supposedly from the 'National Crime Agency' - I hung up and blocked the number. They called again a few minutes later from a different number - now also blocked.

SCAM. Knew that I lived outside the UK, had my name and had my foreign mobile number. Called to say that they were helping Brits who lived outside the UK who may have been mis-sold financial products. I told them my partner worked for the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) and the guy laughed and said "ah, probably not for you then". Polite enough but clearly the new type of "have you been mis-sold PPI" calls. Potentially a scam.
This is a company called FCA or the Free Claims advise service. All the usual hoo hoo about how they can win your claim for the accident you never had. If you have a smart phone...

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 15137524xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with insurance marketing / accident chasers / PPI - but also surveys, wide scope telemarketing call centre. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?
Rings once and disconnects before anyone could answer. Does this every time so I presume they hope you'll be intrigued and call back?

Call from this number playing an automated message, claiming to be from BT. The message says that both the BT phoneline and Internet will be disconnected due to suspicious activity, and to press 1 to spear to the "Executive" (hahaha) in order to stop it.

I Played them at their own game. After falling victim to their sleazy call I paid them £358 via C/card. After several months hearing sweet FA. I called my c/card company to complain. After just two months the c/card company refunded me the whole amount. Oh bye the way they achieved this by applying to Scarletts bank account for the refund. The law says if they dont oppose the action by the credit card company they themselves are credited in full (£358) So morally speaking the credit card don t suffer
