Called to say that this was the bank and that there was strange transactions using my card today. I just hung up. Would say this is people trying to get your bank details to hack your account.
The caller was warning me of dangerous transactions on my card. Amazon and overseas transactions. My bankers would not deal with this sort of matter by phoning my home phone number.

Insurance SPAM This number and very similar numbers have been calling me daily for a couple of weeks. I have missed the previous calls but answered today. A very well spoken man said he was calling from some company (I didn't catch the name) to do with my Scottish Widows life insurance. Caller asked if they were speaking to my name . I refused to confirm they were and asked why they were calling so early. They said it was BT operations departme...
Robit voice Says that they are investigating your financial activity and that an arrest warrant has been issued for your arrest. Then tells you to press 1.
One of those annoying hanging up callers, so highly likely to be FRAUD or SCAM. Cannot be phoned back up, so just block them as phone pests.

I answered phone on first ring and got a recorded message saying they were sorry they were unable to contact me ‘at this time’ and asked me to call back or try again later. The recorded message played so instantly that I missed first 4 words and have no idea who it was. This makes me think is was a group call, so I’ll be blocking it

I have twice received calls last week from somebody (Roger, I think) claiming to be from SSE. He wanted to talk about a new contract. He didn’t specify whether it was gas or electricity. He first asked for somebody who has not worked here for several years. I asked him to send the new prices by email. He seemed upset by this very simple request and claimed it was impossible. I told him to call back later in the week when he had sent the email. He did from this number and came out with the same drivel
