He asked me to confirm if I was Mrs A............. of my address. Saying he had a message to call about the insurance on my house. I said I did not know who he was and he said is that Mrs A of my address again and that he had just started work but it was given to him by a previous colleague. Absolutely wrong. I just hung up. Some sort of scam.

Well this is some landline from Manchester area, I couldn't find any info for this specific number, but there are two facts : people do search for this number which can be seen from different similar pages, and there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated, all the same 016176801xx) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. Probably calling with different offers for different comapnies, but for sure some general call centre. People did someone answer it?
