Picked up and immediately hung up on me as soon as I answered.
I have never given this land line number out as I rarely use it for telephone calls and already have had scam callers pretending to be from microsoft trying to get me to switch computer on to defraud me.
SCAM!! Avoid avoid avoid do not answer, the person on the other side of the phone is trying to get personal details along with information on life insurance and bank details! This has been reported to the police and hopefully the scammer will have their phone blocked! Do not answer this telephone number under any circumstance!

The person called stating hat they can reduce the electric and gas bills , despite me telling him not interested became aggressive and i just put the phone down as could not state where he was from and how he got my number from.

Illegally cold-called my TPS-registered number. Purported to be from a government sponsored energy efficiency company, wanting to confirm the address and discuss loft insulation.
SCAM - blocked and reported. Third one today from a number in the same location. They're more likely to run out of phone numbers before I ever answer the phone!
Simplest way to deal with these annoying people. If the number isn t in my contacts, I don t answer the call. If they really want to speak to me, they ll leave a message.

Claims to be from EE promotions, I thought it was true as I did recently ask EE to call me as I was in the realm for an upgrade. SCAM Call from Annie DeSouza - claimed my BT internet connection had been hacked. When asked for details was referred to her supervisoor Aran, who got increasingly short with me, then wanted to take control of my computer to show me. Apparently my connection will be cut in 1 hour. Put the phone down on him.
