SCAM / phishing call about tax evasion and HMRC investigation. Pressed 1 and was taken to an operator who sounded American. They wanted me to confirm my name even though they should have it.
Msg said from FCA and to press one first of all I don't have enough money for the Financial Conduct Authority to contact me and secondly if they scammed my account the would receive 1.54p
This number called and Asian guy was online saying he is calling from Bt saying my broadband was being accessed by people from Asia and saying they were going to cut my broadband off so I told him I will call BT to confirm myself and he hung up

Initially called in December about my Google ads but told them to call me back in Jan after I could assess situation. Did call back, nice polite guy but told him I did not need their services, he was disappointed but still polite! Website says based in Brighton but actually based in Pakistan.

Picked up call when visiting my very elderly mother. They knew her name but little more. They asked to speak to her but would not say who they were, but said it was important. I said I would not continue if they would not identify themselves @nd they terminated call. Asian man was calling. Don?t think they targeted her because of her age. SCAM - apparently "David" wanted to help me fix my "broken" internet router. I told "David" that it was handy he'd called as my Husband was a Sky engineer and if he held the line a moment I'd put him on to discuss. "David put the phone down on me..... how rude !!! Clearly a total scam call which apparently originated from Basildon but more like Bombay based on the accent. Be aware.
