I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Re The failed bank payment, the bank itself stopped this money and when I spoke to my bank it was decided that the £149 seemed high for an anti viral program and there was a possibility of fraud. Purporting to be Inland Revenue; obviously not. A recorded message - robotic female voice - asking to phone Dennis something and not to ignore call. Indian accented chap answered with 'Inland Revenue' or similar, clearly bogus. Unsettling.

PPI call from BPC - Black Pearl Claims. Absolute scam, they ve used several different numbers to call me from, and I ve never bought a PPI in my life. I d love to know who sold them my number since I don t use it when filling out forms and such.

This has just happened to me £20.50 and £21.25 taken. bank has blocked them and Fraud investigation pending.
Automated message telling me my national insurance number is being suspended because it has been linked to various illegal activity and I need to press 1 to speak to an officer if I want to avoid my property being seized and myself arrested. They must think I was born yesterday as I have no intention of pressing 1 where I suspect I would be asked for lots of personal information and a payment to clear a debt I don’t have. I blocked the number instead.
