An extremely rude man (possibly antipodean accent) identified himself as being from the "Credit Protection Association", asking for our MD. My request for the reason for his call was met with abuse, so I ceased conversing with him. When I phoned back the number to make a complaint, I was met with a recorded message telling me I had received a marking call from the Credit Protection Association before it disconnected my call.
This scam text added £42 to my teen daughters phone bill this month. Scumbags!

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. Similar numbers are reported as a telemarketing - sometimes energy companies. Did someone answer any number of this range? Is there any reason why companies use line with shared costs for just ringing you and left no message (other than scam...)? If this was a silent call for you, do not call back for any reason!
