Wasn't sure if it was genuine so rang Halifax. They asked me some questions and said the call was genuine, also he was very helpful. If in doubt call your local branch.

Automated caller: Said there had been illegal activity on my internet and it will be disconnected shortly, unless I contacted my provider. I was then asked to press the number of the person who would deal with the situation. Of which I hung up as was unsure if this was legit or not? but to my knowledge nothing illegal has been happening on my internet, this is very concerning if it is a scam, as this could make some one ill with worry as to what may be happening on the computer with them being unaware!!!!
