SCAM - won item on e bay and then said for me to ring this number and not send it to the address listed on e bay, when i replied to message on e bay they threatened to report me to their credit card fraud dept!
Only just reactivated my faithful old w995i, it s been on 5minutes and this numbers tried to call me. I didn t answer as everyone on my contacts list knows I use a different number, it s not the first time they ve called but I m on Orange not Vodafone??

The second one today from the same stable - only the 2 digits at the end are different. Both calls from Manchester. There have been a few today - getting fed up with these scammers ringing constantly. They must be getting very strapped for cash to keep trying to defraud 'unsuspecting' people!! Well, we are on to them and so are the Police! We must get them stopped and prosecuted. REPORT, REPORT, REPORT!

Claims it is from a well known Telecom Company and Broadband provider (it is not). It is an attempt to get access to your computer. They will state that you have had broadband issues that they have picked this up from your hub (extremely unlikely, it is impossible to monitor every hub any ISP provides). It is an attempt to get remote access to your computer. ISP's do not use mobile numbers, they will always do a check as to who you are, these people do not even ask who you are as they do not know.

The company is known as go4ukloans , they call you to tell you that you have been approved for loan that does not exist as they are not loan company but bunch of people who scam people to take money of them. This number which is a Glasgow code, called and an indistinct, mumbled young female voice asked for me by name, said she was phoning from another mumbled company and had I had any accidents in my car in the last few years. I said no, and she said oh well then and hung up. Some kind of scam with bad line and mumbled names part of the act.
