I have recently received a call from "HMRC". The computer informed me that a tax fraud case had been opened up in my name. I was then passed through to an operator who refused to provide any credentials and seemed to get rather aggressive.

Like everyone above we bought the space bags after seeing them advertised on TV. We paid for them and didn t think about them again until today when they took ?99.99 out of our bank account with no warning, no brochure, no anything really. It s a scam and I would tell everyone you know to avoid this product at all costs. We re lucky enough to have been able to get our money refunded but I m sure that s not the case for everyone.

Recorded female voice saying that "they" have been trying to contact me, and my phone will be disconnected within 24 to 48 hours, and to press 1 for more info. Similar call received yesterday from 01 1679 422 549. The caller does not give her name or her company. Obviously dangerous.Just hang up.

I had two calls from this number. They told me that i have been sellected in the list of hundred people in a lucky draw. They asked me to choose numbers between certain digits. Then they asked me my bank account and sort code so that they could send me money if i win.... and i told them ????????????. Am i scammed?? I feel like it. How can i stop this? Plz help.

Been getting dozens of these calls since I visited uswitch.com three weeks ago. Whenever I register with one of those sites I always am careful to tick, or untick, any boxes that instruct them NOT to contact me. Haven t received any emails so somebody is selling my details on, or they are just B4stards!

Just been contacted by this number,claimed to be from(cooperative energy)asking for an up to date reading of my meters.I normally supply them online at the beginning of the month(which is only 2 days away) I gave them the readings and then they asked if they were located inside or outdoors.They also asked if they were accessible to an engineer should they need to call???????? Was from a Gary Walker claiming to be from my insurance company. In actuality it was from The Cotswold Group who are Private Investigators for insurance companies. This nows seems to be standard practice when making a claim and another method for insurance companies to try and get out of reimbursing you. I have been told by an insurance company that they use a phone based lie detector, which is completely useless. Lie detectors are not admissible in court because their results are not consistent.
