I ve received 3 calls from these idiots - two I failed to answer but after reading posts on sites like this decided, for my own amusement, to answer on the third call. The chap on the other end rambled on about insurance and said he was from a company called Red Star. When I asked who Red Star were he got quite abrupt/aggressive. They called me on this number around 1pm. I missed the call and they didn t leave an answerphone message.

Nasty threatening female voice spoke of unauthorised charge on my card , had previous one on International previously demanded I press certain buttons. Ignored

another annoying call from number I don t recognise, so I don t answer. I get at least 3 calls per day from numbers I don t know. I have a way of blocking these calls, ( which I have had to pay for)but as soon as I do that, another one pops up. I would be very happy to know that "somebody" out there is working to deal with this.I know from reading comments and talking to friends that just about everyone is affected, and that I m not the only person to be maddened by these calls.

Will not answer unknown calls for fear of a scammer

Recorded message saying it's HMRC telling that you have been named in a tax fraud case and if you don't press 1 immediately you will be arrested. Hang up, block the number and wait a very long time for someone to come and feel your collar. Pathetic examples of humanity operating these scams.

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. Person called Jack Wells called my elderly parents and tried to sell them a plug in box to stop unwanted phone calls. He had the correct details for them and their address! He asked for all bank details, sort code, acc. number and a password. Luckily they are not that stupid!!
