This number called with message about "every house needs to be done by 2016" plus "we are in your area" last week - some solar panel scam. Didn t answer - the message is recorded on my answerphone. Same message from 01316483485 yesterday - same result. This lot have probably rented fake numbers from a major phone company which offers them on its web site. Some firms offer call centres numbers which give the person called the idea that it is a local call.
Fraud Offered to connect me to Amazon finance department to cancel the order of an iPad if I "pressed 1". The same thing came through on 0121 702 2546.

SCAM This looked like a local number BUT it was a recorded message purporting to come from Amazon about a sizeable sum taken from my account for an order and to press 1 if it wasn't me who made the order. Needless to say I hung up without pressing any numbers.

Received calls regarding a supposed car accident from this number several time over the last two months. I ve been reasonable and told them I understand it s their job, nothing personal, but it s irritating as hell when you work afternoons/evenings and you re getting calls at 7.45am, and you don t even own a car. This number called our landline today , my husband who is partly deaf answered the phone and couldn't make out with the caller wanted, only that it was a woman with an English voice . this was far from the first time this number called our land line, i have also received calls from this number on my mobile phone , which i have now blocked. This is a scam call.
