SCAM This is a scam operation. An older lady calls to tell you that they have confirmed advertising space in local hospital/ school publication. These publications don't exist. They invoice and use factoring companies. We were stung for around £250 previously. Not heard from them in a couple of years so they've obviously started up again. Just hang up.
Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. SCAM Received a call apparently from O2 asking if my phone service was good. I said it was fine and hung up. Almost immediately after I received a warning from O2 by text: *SECURITY WARNING* The one-time code you requested will arrive shortly. If someone's calling you and asking for a code, please end the call because they DO NOT work for O2. If you suspect fraud, call us on 202 so we can protect your account. Soon after a code came from O2. This suggests the caller was trying to access my account.

Automated message in an American voice telling me to call back this number as it s the HMRC needing to speak with me about my accounts & if I don t I will need to speak to my solicitor as I m going to get a big fine if I don t. Do Not call back at any cost. It is a hoax.
DO NOT answer the call. They don t need to have a conversation with you, just toknow the line is active. They find this out by you answering. They then sell your details and number on to other advertisers and brokers.

**SCAM** Same as last review - called from 'Vodafone' & said someone had changed my phone number. Recieved text with code during the call. I asked him to call me back in 30 mins, he said "why, are you busy"? He couldn't verify he was from Vodafone and said they'd send an email (not recieved an hour later..). Checked my Vodafone account and no activity. TBH I'm used to being ripped off by Vodafone but at least I can see it happening :)

SCAM Received a voicemail today from this number - 02039667956 - saying that my Amazon Prime account has been compromised and that I have been charged £350. I don't have an Amazon Prime account. It then gives the option to cancel the order by pressing 1 or go through to Amazon Fraud team by pressing 2. This number has been used for a previous scam which came up on the FCA website claiming to be a different company (when I entered the number into google that's how I found this bit of information).

SCAM / Spam apparently HMRC calling to say that there is a tax fraud case out against me.
Just got a phone call from this number at 10:24am, 26/4/2023 stating that there has been 2 "international transactions" over £700 this morning. Don't believe it one bit considering its from an EE provided phone number. It then says to press 1 to cancel the transaction. I didn't press anything and just left it then it hung up.
Don't recognise number just know it's a Gloucester number declined and ignored.
