I suspect it s a fishing exercise to gather info we may seem to think is harmless but gives clues to passwords bank details and so on the first question was who do I bank with and do I bank online I am deeply suspicious of anyone asking about any of my financial details unsolicited as banks don t call asking my details so no-one else should either

Kept calling me and when I finally answered, he started trying to ask me questions about who I was banking with. I refused to tell him as I was unsure of his intentions. He then stated my postcode, which was correct, and said he would send some information in the post. I proceeded to tell him the call was not relevant to me and that i didn t want to be contacted again. Very aggressive and rude. They will say that they are calling regarding "Your car accident" for which they have no details. They will call everyone including people who never had a car. When I asked them to spell their company name, they but when I also asked to give me their company registration number, they told me to "F... off" and put the phone down.
