They then managed to trigger the Amazon reset password text message and pressured me to give me that code to them, presumably so that they could take control of my Amazon account. Caller said they were from Microsoft and had noticed problems with my computer. I told him I thought it was a scam call and blocked that number.
I got a call this a recorded message saying that it was from HMRC and they had sent a letter to me which had been returned to them and they were about to start a prosecution against e and I should press the 1 keg to speak to an agent. I received an automated call about some money taken from my card. If I wanted to learn more press 1 they requested. The call was from Nakhichevan Russian Federation - I never had any connection with this part of world. Must be a fraud?!
The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based, Indian company masking the no to a local city!!

SCAM This is a parcel spam in text form - It was asking to use the link findyourdpdpackage.com. The website no longer exists. It did a couple of months ago when I received the test. I was curious as I wasn't waiting for a package. I did not fill in any information asked for. I meant to report it at the time but forgot. I was clearing out texts when I came across it again. A silent call from one of a block of numbers. As fast as one number is blocked another is used. So far 10 different numbers from the block ranging from numbers ending 763 to 776. Regularly getting 2 or 3 a day. If they are from 3 network then Ofcom need to investigate

Very rude. Very bad. Wouldn’t tell me who was calling. Just wanted me to confirm my name with a yes or no. When I would not say yes or no and just kept asking who was calling, she said well you can piss off! and put the phone down on me. Don’t ever say yes or no on the phone - they record it and use it as approval for trying to get into accounts etc.

(Doesn’t even say positive for what) Fools! I attempted to look up the web address on my iPad and it came up as non existent. Presumably they would have tried to make me pay for them.

I too have solar panels and I have had eight calls in the last week from a Chelmsford number. Its as good as a scam, pretending to have discount vouchers for work on your house to be more eco friendly. Very persistent and don't take no for an answer.
