Just had a call from this number, they hung up as soon as I picked up the phone!

Person called asking me what knickers I was wearing. They were breathing quite heavily so I assumed they had a cold. Anyway, I told them I don't wear any knickers. I then heard some grunting noises and shortly after the caller hung up. Very strange. Never mind, I hope they get well soon! X

I always receive most unknown telephone calls altogether over a 24 hour period and then get nothing for 1-2 weeks. Today at 10.30 am I received a call from a man who with-held his number requesting to speak to me by name and I replied to him not known .He was very rude and did not introduce himself when I asked who is speaking. Call with an offer of payment protection insurance. Very dodgy. Never give your credit card details to a caller! No idea where they took my number, anyway.

This number rings several times a day even though I have asked them not to call again

This number called with message about "every house needs to be done by 2016" plus "we are in your area" last week - some solar panel scam. Didn t answer - the message is recorded on my answerphone. Same message from 01316483485 yesterday - same result. This lot have probably rented fake numbers from a major phone company which offers them on its web site. Some firms offer call centres numbers which give the person called the idea that it is a local call.

I called the number back got through to a recorded voicemail advising it was not a sales call, it was a market researcher working on behalf of EE - I am an EE customer so seems legit.
