Had this number, 01619390228 call me a few times recently, they don t let the phone ring very long, have never left a voice message and on trying to call the number I get an engaged tone, will try to get to my phone quicker next time to answer, reckon it s a scam call, shouldn t be allowed !! This number keeps calling my elderly mother pretending its about a loan she had. They keep providing her with info like date of birth, asking her to confirm expecting her to provide the correct one. When I ring this number it says it is an old number. My 11 year old was with her when they last called and he said they were very pushy and kept asking her to confirm bank details.

I am posting my comments on the company who own this number, not because they have been calling me but because they sent me a brochure for 30 days free trial on holidays. The enclosed letter stated that if I did not cancel within the 30 days ?99.99 would be debited from my account for the annual membership. When I was originally called regarding this I as told that they were sending this out to me and that if I didnt want it I could "put it in the bin". Answered all 3 calls from this company. And 3 times I stated I wasn t interested. I have now blocked the call from my mobile. They do not accept the word "No" all 3 calls were from men that could barely speak English. Don t waste your time answering this call. Basically market research that tries to rope you in to giving details

CALLS MADE WITH NO IMMEDIATE ANSWER. THEY CONFIRM YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS WHICH IS UNNERVING. VERY NASTY PEOPLE. DON T GET INTO A CONVERSATION WITH THEM AT ALL AS THEY CAN BE THREATHENING WHEN YOU SHOW THEM YOUR NOT A FOOL.

Just spoken to O2 regarding this number and the calls my wife had been getting. They confirmed that the number does belong to O2 and is not a scam, it is their Customer Research (for want of a better description) calling to ensure she was getting the right deal for her and to see if she wanted to upgrade, so I suppose they re Market Research/Sales. Perfectly safe to answer. If in doubt, just don t give answers to questions you feel uncomfortable about.

Phoned today at 11 a.m. Didn't get to the phone in time to answer and no message left so I suspect it is some cold caller or scammer. Any legit.caller would leave a message.
