I am receiving calls from this number every single work day, sometimes in the early evening and more than once a day. The first one was an obvious sales call and now I leave the answer phone on. There is never any messages left, but as we work nights I don't need calls during the day. Why is cold calling not illegal?

Have had four calls from this number now. First time I actually answered most of the questions. Asian sounding man wanted to know my first name which I declined to give him and hung up. Not 30 seconds later I got another call from him, so I put the answerphone on. As soon as the answerphone kicked in he hung up and called back straight away. SCAM/SPAM. I was called on the 26/08/20 by this number. The caller said they were from SKY (my TV, telephone and broadband provider). He informed me that he was ringing to test my modem and improve its performance. He asked me to type a few commands which included the word “SKY”. He then asked me to permit remote access.
