I hate these people and others like them. I never press any of the numbers (eg, 5 to speak or 9 to reject) as i assume it is a computer generated call "phishing". If i were to press the 9 - opt out option, I assume would be confirming to the computer my nuber is a real live number and they would sell it on.

Called today, 11.38...Voice said "Hi my names Chris, a local energy advisor, I hope everyone is ok"....I didn't speak and after about 10 seconds the line cuts off. Initially you think its someone there, but it isn't. It says the first recorded part, then waits for a voice to answer, at which point it plays the next part, which usually talks over you. very clever, but a scam nonetheless. Just hang up or say nothing and you are good.

I have blocked their number so it doesn t ring but I still get a message to tell me that they called. I have had 10 calls from this company in the past 3 days.
Claimed to be Visa ringing about fraudulent transactions on my account. First warning sign - Didn't know who I was. They should know whose account the transactions were on Second warning sign - As far as I'm aware Visa don't contact people direct, your card issuer will contact you. So it would have been Lloyds, Halifax, barclaycard, etc

I ve received 3 calls from these idiots - two I failed to answer but after reading posts on sites like this decided, for my own amusement, to answer on the third call. The chap on the other end rambled on about insurance and said he was from a company called Red Star. When I asked who Red Star were he got quite abrupt/aggressive. I am the first to comment but I notice I m the 176th person who has tried to find out of this is a dodgy scam/marketing call. I would say the chances are quite high that it is. Let your telephone do the work. If there is no voicemail left then there is no urgency to speak with them!

Claimed to be my local energy advisor, for once they are local to me. Asked if I was the homeowner, when asked where he got the information from, said there was a data base of all work carried out at this address. If there is then I did not authorise my data being entered or used. GDPR? Suspect they wanted to carry out an "energy survey" and would come up with a very expensive improvement package, which probably would not be needed.

Caller said she was from Faversham (01795)? She wanted to sell advertising, when I declined she then called me with dropped call 10 times!

They ve been spamming our number with an automated caller for weeks, eventually got through to speak to a person and asked them to remove me but the call is unsolicited.
