Had a call from this number, identified itself as Humberside Police to my call barring service but then cut off when I tried to answer. Line went dead when tried to recall. Called police, they had no record of anyone trying to ring my number nor did they recognise this 56677 number. Suspicious, also nasty if it is a scam, as I am now worried about whether or not the police are trying to contact me for genuine reasons. Fraud Said she was from RBS and was calling customers for an annual review. She would arrange a time for someone to call and go through everything. She informed me that she could see I had the app and I can contact them if I need to. I never gave out any of my details and banks do not phone from a mobile number.

Tells me I have been identified has having and industrial injury and wants to act on my behalf. I have never had such an injury. The caller uses a Merthyr Tydfil dialling code but on interrogation turns out to be a call centre in Liverpool. I explain I am a member of TPS and don t wont to be cold called. SCAM - wish I had seen the other message on here sooner. We were scammed by this number trying to buy a puppy from ‘Pets4Homes’ by someone referring to themselves as ‘Marcel’. Do NOT engage with them, they are fraudsters. The person on the other end of the phone has a strong Scottish accent - BEWARE. This has been reported to Action Fraud and the Police so they will hopefully be caught.
