This company calls me 7 days a week at all times day and night

A cheerful sounding bloke says "This is you're local energy supplier, how are you this morning?" or words to that effect. Had the exact same call at my Mum's the other day, put the phone down in either case, as our real energy suppliers actually have names!
Kept getting calls from this number and ignoring them, as if it was anyone important they would leave a message surely? After reading the comments on here I have put two and two...
A woman called and said something about me having a car accident two years ago, asked if that is right. It was a total nonsense, so I answered "no" laughing and she hanged up on me, lol.

Obviously untrue considering the fact that it is almost impossible to talk to someone at HM Revenues &Customs who has some responsability and knows about taxes and rules, so why should they send you someone to prosecute you for sonething they don't even understand themselves.

Spoke to 02 , they have no such dept & said if I had given them the code they would have been able to access my aps & go on a spending spree

I had an accident year before last and was insured with Aviva. The called said they were from Aviva and knew this my car and name and Excess. Said claim now reached stage of getting compensation for my time off work and they could get me compensation in the next few weeks now the car damage and liability had all now been agreed. I only realised something wasn't quite right, when they didn't know the date of the accident. Required a card payment of the excess to release payment.
