This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I called Barclays on 03457 345 345 only to be told this numbers has switched to 0345 600 45 40. I called this number and followed the exact same instructions that you would normally be asked only something didn't feel quite right about it. I called back the 03457 345 345 number which worked this this time and spoke to a gentleman on the Fraud team who advised me this was not one of their numbers and this was most definitely a fraud attempt. I had a recorded voice telling me that my IP address had been compromised and was going to be disconnected and asking me to press 1 so that they could ask me some questions. I did this and was connected to a call centre where I was I asked why I had called. I explained and said that I was deeply suspicious of a scam and they hung up. The recording called again and I searched for anybody else who had this happen, but I could find no reports.
