They said call was to update my cover for my central heating boiler, which was £20 month and they were reducing it to £16 a month, yeah right!

Call centre, claiming to be the Technical Department @ Virgin Media, wishing to discuss my internet access. I told her my number is registered with TPS and requested that all of my details are immediately removed from their database. She hung up without confirming whether she had complied. Strangely, her telephone number seems to be a landline in Germany and she is calling a UK mobile number. As I am not a Virgin Media customer, this is most likely a scam.
SCAM / SPAM I was called and asked if I was interested in online stocks. When I told him twice I was not interested he became abusive and started telling me to fuck off he had other customers waiting to make money and to stop wasting his time. Stated that he wanted to ask me three simple questions. Asked me to confirm whether I was living at my address but when I said I didn t have time, Mike as he called himself, became angry and said you ve just wasted my time and put the phone down on me... Nice, I thought! Don t answer - complete waste of time.
Called and asked to confirm my name and personal details which I refused. Never heard of the company. When I went to end the call the lady stated that the calls will continue

repeated pest calls, will not take "Leave me the F**K alone" as an answer.
Started by asking for my wife. Told her she wasn't in. Then confirmed my name, said he was offering a call blocker for unrecognised calls for free. Mentioned that I paid for my phone bill by direct debit (who doesn't?) and then listed a load of banks, none of them mine. When I laughed he got annoyed and asked why. When I told him I didnt have any banks of that name, did he just want my sort code and account number, he was talking over me and telling me to listen!!! Cut him off. Be warned.
It is a First Assurance Insurance Company claiming that they are acting for RAC. They called me today offering an accident cover if I get hit by car or so...

SCAM Received a call apparently from O2 asking if my phone service was good. I said it was fine and hung up. Almost immediately after I received a warning from O2 by text: *SECURITY WARNING* The one-time code you requested will arrive shortly. If someone's calling you and asking for a code, please end the call because they DO NOT work for O2. If you suspect fraud, call us on 202 so we can protect your account. Soon after a code came from O2. This suggests the caller was trying to access my account.
