This company called and asked me if I had a mortgage on my house to which I replied no. Ye said 'so youve been mortgage free for some time then yes?' I replied 'why do you need to know this?' He told me they were offering good mortgage rates to which I replied 'well its really not relevant as I dont have one do I?' He then said I have a ''sh*tty attitude '' and hung up on me. !!!!!!! SCAM Call received today 15th Feb 2021. Computerised call. Pretended to be from HMRC and that my name was recorded as a tax fraud and a warrant would be issued against me if I didn't press 1 now. I am an accountant in practice who has dealt with the HMRC for 30 years. This a SCAM. The HMRC will never call you like this on such matters. If you do owe money to HMRC only pay them through the secure channels listed on the government website and ensure it is your reference you are making the payment against.
Some call centre called NHM or NML, NHL or something like that. They called me on behalf on Amnesty International asking me to increase my monthly payment. Have had 7 calls from them in 2 days.

Checking that it was me using my card online. Phoned Sainsbury's Credit Card number that I normally use (not the one above)to make sure I hadn't fallen for a scam- call was genuine. I had booked a hotel and they had done a £1 swipe which aroused suspicion.

Rang off after phone had rang only once, rang again seconds later & phone rang only twice, then rang again after a few seconds & phone rang only 3 times - VERY annoying. Just ignored all 3 calls.
