Get calls every day from this number on my house phone normally while I m out at work so can t answer but on the times I have been home to answer (normally 8.30am on weekends!) they ask for some random person although I ve told atleast 10 different people they have the wrong number they still phone despite saying they will take the number off the system. Internet - trying to sell me new phone/internet contract. There were long pauses during the conversation suggesting that the call wasn't coming from Cambridge. Worringly they had my full name and number (despite being registered here there and everywhere for no calls!). In the end said I was happy with my contract and ended the call.

An Asian caller soon transferred me to a guy in Brighton making an illegal call to charge me an extortionate amount for 3 years cover after the warranty has expired on a washing machine that I've never owned. These UK centres should be closed down and fined by our "caring" system.

Boiler scammers - Simply answer the call and pretend to be interested in what they are offering. You will probably be passed to a "manager" who will arrange for someone to visit you. Go along with it, make the appointment and when the salesman turns up tell him you are not interested and have wasted their time because they are wasting yours by ignoring the law and cold calling you. They hate having their time wasted This has worked for me and gives you a great feeling of having got them back.
