When i asked if it was a sales call, he said no, it's about a complaint from the national grid!! Calls up to 3 times a day every day - then a break of a week and starts again. Automated message for unknown person. Press 2 to confirm I am not the person named - but the message says pass a message on to the person that I do not know. Calls have come early morning and evening. In desperation bought a call blocking phone. They are still trying to get through but at least I am not disturbed by them any more. But an expensive solution.

Fraud Call was recorded message purporting to be from Amazon and saying that payent of £399 had been taken for my order, if I did not authorise this press 1. So hung up, so obviously a fraud. Caller ID on phone showed a local geographical number, most likely that this was fake. Telecoms companies should have a way of identifying the origin of these calls and should really address this lawbreaking, ie conspiracy to commit fraud.

Probably TPI (Third Party Intermediary) using hard sell techniques to convince to switch to OPUS or similar energy companies. They will do anything possible to hide the fact that they are energy brokers which is actually against the Trading Standards but Ofgem will soon start to go after them. They will try to convince you to accept a new contract with them. DO NOT Trust them as they will get paid and you may end up with an expensive new contract.

My daughter received a txt from this number saying she needed to click on the link to avoid her EE account being blocked. She is with EE but luckily didn't click on it. Looks like the Russians have got her number looking at where the country of origin is for the number - a bit worrying.
